Courtney Fraser, LPC, Psychotherapist
Specializations: Sex therapy, couples counseling, individual therapy, relationship therapy, premarital counseling, anxiety, depression, trauma, life adjustments, LGBTQIA+
Working with couples and adult individuals, I help create a safe and affirming environment to explore your therapy goals, build a supportive relationship, and work towards achieving your goals so you can experience personal growth. I have worked for over a decade with clients across the lifespan and believe that therapy is for everyone.
I enjoy collaborating with my clients and taking a direct communication approach. My therapeutic style is integrative: my lens is client-centered, and I employ a mix of cognitive behavioral therapy, psychoeducation, attachment theory, Imago and Gottman relationship therapies, and other strategies.
I’m experienced working with LGBTQIA+ folks, as well as heterosexual clients. I provide therapy to couples and individuals who identify as monogamous and consensually non-monogamous, and I’m a BDSM- and kink-affirming clinician.
I provide therapy to couples who are looking to explore or improve their sexual relationship, as well as address concerns such as communication, recovering from affairs or other breaches in trust, and parenting discrepancies. I also offer Premarital Counseling. When working with couples, I draw from Imago Couples Therapy and Gottman Relationship Therapy.
I specialize in sex therapy, anxiety issues, and trauma. I also have extensive experience working with depression, OCD, ADHD, bipolar related disorders, personality disorders, and general life transitions. I assist clients in managing stressors and concerns while also exploring and resolving hurts and traumas from the past.
I enjoy helping clients resolve sexual issues and enhance their sex lives, and I am currently working on my PhD in Clinical Sexology. I work with both monogamous and consensually non-monogamous individuals and couples, and am BDSM- and kink-affirming. I have extensive training and experience with:
- Sexual dysfunction
- Sexual education
- Increasing sexual intimacy
- Desire discrepancy issues
- Problematic or out-of-control sexual behaviors
- Effects of trauma and abuse on sexual functioning
- Enhancing sexual enjoyment
If you’re ready to engage with therapy to move towards bettering yourself and your relationships, I look forward to talking with you!
